Mom & Me Valentine Share

I wanted to share with you one of the projects that the young stampers made at my Mom & Me Valentine Class . They had great fun punching and attaching all the hearts and each card was unique but absolutely fabulous! This card uses the very versatile Delightful Decorations set and Ornament punch from the Holiday Mini. How fun is this?? The original idea for this card came from the Stampin Success magazine that all demonstrators receive from Stampin'Up! monthly.

I needed to make a Sympathy Card today and this is what I came up with. As much as I love Christmas and Valentine's Day, I just really needed to get away from those colors! This card is Whisper White and Apricot Appeal and uses one of my favorite sets, Thoughts and Prayers. I added just a touch of glitter to the center of each flower. It really is a simple card but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. As I think this card would be suitable for many occasions, I have decided to include it in the Occasions Card class on Feb. 13th. Shabby Chic or Vintage Card?

I have been seeing so many of these cards around lately that I just had to give it a try. I have heard this style called both Shabby Chic and Vintage, but I think Shabby Chic is a more suitable name. This card was totally out of my comfort zone, but I had a lot of fun making it!

I used a retired Jumbo Wheel with black ink and randomly wheeled over the white cardstock, sometimes wheeling off first to get the various shades going. I used my Spritzer Tool with Real Red and Going Gray Markers to add some color, distressed all the edges and crumpled. The heart is cut out using the "Hearts Set" of Dies and the Bigshot, distressed all the edges, crumpled, sponged, spritzed and also dragged ink over top. The greeting is from the Well Scripted set. Added a half pearl from the Pretties Kit and used the new Black Satin ribbon. Distressed and crumpled the red mat and attached all to a black card.
