Today's card is made with the Sale-a-bration set called Sprinkled Expressions and uses one of the brads from the Everyday Enchantment Brad and Ribbon Sale-a-bration pack. The cardstock colors I used are Tempting Turquoise, Calypso Coral, Whisper White and I added the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine. I never would have thought to put these colors together but I got my inspiration from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper which is available for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $60 order.

Popped Background TechniqueMy clubs did this technique but we used the Elebration and Medallion stamps. I wanted to try to make a more masculine Birthday card with this technique and this is the result. It really is easy to do, just stamp your background for the card (in this case I used the Woodgrain Background stamp), and then stamp it again on a scrap piece of the same cardstock. Stamp your image (from Under the Stars) on the scrap paper where you would like it positioned ultimately on the card, which is determined by the pattern. Cut the image out, line it up with the pattern on the card and attach it with dimensionals. This picture doesn't really give you the true effect, much nicer IRL.

I am not sure why she comes to my club when she creates works of art like this?! The trees are from the stamp set Plant Hope. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I recently did some playing with MDS. One of the things I wanted to do was to create a really simple Sympathy Card and here is what I came up with. As some of you know, I recently had to spend 5 days in serious isolation. The one thing that kept me sane, and believe me I wasn't on the ball enough to have planned it, was that I took my LapTop into the room with me and it had My Digital Studio software loaded. It is also where I tend to upload a lot of my pics as well, so once the lights went on in my head, I had something to keep me occupied!
The format for this swatchbook is in the MDS program and I had never made one but it was easy. I then uploaded it to Stampin'Up! for printing and I just received it today. I am really happy with it.

Birthday Card Club Sample
I just had to share one of the cards we will be making at the March sessions of the Birthday Card Club. At the club we make 3 each of 4 different designs. This is one of the designs and you get to choose which color to make it in, or a combination of both! There is still room for you to join us. Here are the details:
- You will make 12 Birthday cards each time - 4 designs/3 of each card, includes envelopes
- At each club night, all attendees will receive a featured accessory (full package/roll of brads/buttons/ribbon/markers/) -> all extras will be yours to keep!

Unfortunately, most of the cards I seem to be sending lately are Sympathy Cards so I needed to make more. This card is very simple to make and yet I really like how it turned out. Birthday Card Stamp A Stack
I have some room in the March sessions of the Birthday Card Club for "Class Goers".
